The prefixinter-, of Latin origin, is a comparison prefix that meanswithin,between or in the middle of something else. For example: interstellar, interludio, interaction.
As a variant you can use the prefix intra-, which meansbe within. For example: intracell phone.

Examples of words with the prefix inter-
- Interaction. Relationship or influence that occurs between two people or two things.
- Interactivity. Activity that occurs between two things or people.
- Interactive. That which is produced by the interaction of two things or two people.
- Inter-american. That it has a relationship between two nations of America.
- Interandina. That people, localities or countries that are on one or the other side of the Andes mountain range are related.
- Interannual. That is related in magnitude or dimensionally for a period of twelve months.
- Interarticular. Which is located between the joints.
- Intercadence. That happens irregularly for a certain period of time.
- Intercalling. Which is carried out with a discontinuous or irregular rhythm.

Not all words that start with syllables inter- correspond to this prefix. There are some exceptions:
- Intercisa. Holiday in the morning.
- Interdict. Imposition so that a certain thing is not carried out.
- Interdiction. Pivation of a right imposed by the authority of a judge.
- Interest. Value that a thing has in itself.
- Interfect. A person who has died in a violent manner. It also refers to a person who is being talked about in a conversation.
- Endless. That has no end in time or space.
- Internuncio. Priest diplomatic representative of the Pope.
- Interpellate. Demand something from another person (generally with authority and legal characteristics) in order for a specific right to be exercised.
- Interlearn. Occupy something specific by surprise.
- Interpret. Give a different meaning to a thing.
- Question. Asking someone questions to clarify a fact or situation.
